In this post, I will discuss the replica of FM24 4-4-2 Diamond Tactic Inspired by Mourinho Porto, under my FM24 legendary tactics series. In the 2003/2004 season, Jose Mourinho’s last season as Porto’s head coach, he won Liga Portugal and then surprised the whole of Europe, as his team defeated Monaco to clinch the Uefa Champions League, having won the Uefa Cup the previous year.
The tactic Jose Mourinho mainly used in that success story, was a 4-4-2 diamond tactic. Union Berlin was the team that I recreated the tactic with, in FM24, my team is currently 3rd on the Bundesliga table. With no further ado, let’s get into the details of the tactic.
