In the post, I will be looking into the FM23 Philippe Clement 4-4-2 Monaco tactic I created this season. Clement was appointed as the new head coach on January 2022, after the club’s caretaker. Stéphane Nado was demoted to AS Monaco B. Clement’s team finished 3rd on the table, thereby qualifying for the 2022/2023 champions league qualifiers but they failed to qualify for the champions league.
In the current 2022/2023 Ligue 1 campaign, they only won once in their first five matches, drawing twice and also losing twice. Since January 2023, Monaco has been unbeaten in all competitions, including a remarkable victory against Bayer Leverkusen on away – plus they are currently 3rd on the table, 7 points behind the leaders PSG.
