FM24 Custom Vertical Tiki-Taka Tactic V1: 4-4-2 Diamond with Salernitana 1919
In this article, I will continue my FM24 Custom Tactic series. The tactic that I will discuss this time is FM24 Custom Vertical tiki-taka tactic. Here is what FM24 tells us about the vertical tiki-taka tactic “A quick passing style of possession and movement, with a narrower, more direct approach than the standard tiki-taka”. Vertical tiki-taka requires counterattacks when the ball is won on the break, unlike the standard tiki-taka. As always, this custom vertical tiki-taka tactic is of two versions, which are:
- Classic 4-4-2 Diamond version
- Asymmetric 4-1-2-3 version
This post will be based on the classic 4-4-2 diamond version, while the asymmetric version will be dealt with in the next one. The team that I created this tactic with was US Salernitana, an underdog in the Italian Serie A. After 10 matches into the Serie A season, my team Salernitana sits 5th on the table.
