In this post, I will discuss the FM24 Gian Gasperini tactic with Atalanta BC. Atalanta has been in better form this season, than how they started last season. In the 2023/2024 Serie A season, Atalanta has won 6 out of their first ten games, drawing once and losing thrice, they are sitting on 4th on the table after the first ten games.
The way Gasperini’s tactic appears on paper is quite confusing, it is mostly represented as a 3-4-1-2 tactic, sometimes represented as a 3-4-2-1 tactic. I believe a 3-4-3 tactic best explains Gasperini’s tactic, as Lookman is mostly wide at the left flank, Koopmeiers at the right flank and De Ketelaere/Scamacca as the leading forward.
