25/26 Cesc Fabregas Possible Tactic with Como
Here’s 25/26 Cesc Fabregas Possible Tactic for the season. After a fantastic last season, in which Como finished 10th on the Serie A table, they will be looking to improve their performance this season under Cesc Fabregas. In the summer transfer, they have made signings like Morata and Jacobo Ramon to strengthen the squad, and more possible signings might be made before the end of the transfer window.
With the signings and the squad they have, Cesc Fabregas is likely to use a 4-2-3-1 tactic similar to one of last season. I also believe Jacobo Ramon and Morata will make it to the starting eleven. With no further ado, let’s get into the details of the tactic.

In Possession
They will start up their plays from behind, but they can still go direct when under pressure. While building up plays from behind, Kempf and Ramon will drop close to the goalkeeper, inside the 18-yard box. The fullbacks, Valle and Vojvoda, will stay wide, ready to attack to overload the flanks. Perrone and Caqueret will now drop close to the box.

In the approach play, the Blues will either focus on plays down both sides of the field or through the middle of the field. The passing directness will be shorter to control possession mainly, but the tempo will be standard, to build up transition quicker or patiently. As they approach the final third, Como will prioritise underlaps on both sides of the field.
In Transition
The attacking width will be wide. Counterattacks will be implemented when they recover the ball on the break. In the final third, Como will patiently work the ball into the box.

While in transition, if Fabregas’s men lose the ball in the opposition’s half, they will counterpress to win back possession quickly. The goalkeeper will distribute the ball quickly or, after slowing the pace down, by taking short kicks to CDs.
Out Of Possession
In defensive situations, the defenders will stay compact, forcing the opponents outside rather than inside. They will press opponents higher, at a more often pressing intensity, with a higher line of engagement, and the defensive line will also be higher.

The defenders will also drop off the defensive line to defend closer to their own goal. The fullbacks will try to close down crosses from the opponents. In defensive situations, they can defend in a 4-4-2 shape.
Formation Lineup

Role Selections
Gk
The goalkeeper, Butez, will be a sweeper keeper on support duty.

CDs
Kempf and Jacobo Ramon will be the preferred CDs. They will be ball-playing defenders on defence duties respectively. They will turn the defence via diagonal passes to higher-positioned teammates. They will stay within the defensive line to close down opposition attackers and win the ball.

FBs
I believe Valle and Vojvoda will boss the fullback positions. They will be wing-backs on support duties. They will provide the team with widths on both flanks and support attacks in the team’s formation, then make overlapping runs down the flanks.

DMs
Fabregas might trust Caqueret and Perrone as his main defensive midfield pair.
Caqueret will be a defensive midfielder on defence duty. He will hold his position during attacks in the midfield to help the team recover possession.

Perrone, on the other hand, will be a deep-lying playmaker on support duty. He will bring about control in the midfield, setting up higher-positioned teammates with diagonal passes and then getting forward to increase the attacking number of Como’s.
AM
Da Cunha will be an attacking midfielder on support duty. He will operate at the centre of the field, trying to fashion chances for himself or the team in the final third during attacks. Nico Paz will also be an advanced playmaker on support duty in this position.

Ws
The wingers are more likely to be Diao and Nico Paz on the left and right flanks, respectively.
Diao will be an inverted winger on support duty. He shall stay wider on the left during attacks, looking to receive the ball and cut inside into the final third, while creating space for the left fullback to overload the flank.

Nico Paz on the right flank will be an advanced playmaker on support duty. Like last season, He shall be the main creator in the team’s attacking moves and will roam from his position to other positions of the field, making himself available for teammates’ passes.
CF
If they eventually sign Morata, he will be the main striker with the role of a pressing forward on support duty. He will put pressure on the opposition’s defenders when they are in possession to force them to lose the ball higher up. Since Morata is not in this current data save, I gave Douvikas the role.

Team Mentality
At Home, an attacking mentality works better for lower, average and tougher teams.
On Away, a balanced mentality works best against all teams.
