My FM26 4-2-3-1 Gegenpress Tactic with Wolves
Here’s My FM26 4-2-3-1 Gegenpress Tactic. I’m starting the FM26 custom tactics series, and the first tactic I will start is the custom gegenpress tactic. FM26 says this about the gegenpress tactic: “ Gegenpressing relies on every player in the team working hard and, above all else, being fit and mobile enough to press the opposition immediately after losing the ball”. As you know, I love creating my custom tactics with two versions: one classic version and the other an asymmetric version. Below are the two versions of the tactic:
- Classic 4-2-3-1 Tactic
- Asymmetric 4-1-2-2-1 tactic
This article will be based on the classic 4-2-3-1, while the asymmetric 4-1-2-2-1 version will be discussed in another article. While creating the classic version, I decided to try it out with Wolverhampton Wanderers, but you can use it with any team of your choice. The tactic has been successful, as we are currently 7th on the table after 10 games in the Premier League. With no further ado, let’s get into the details of the tactic.
