Control Possession: FM22 4-3-2-1 Christmas Tree Tactic
Welcome back to my custom tactics series, this time around, I will look into a custom control possession tactic. I created it with a different version of 4-3-3 formation but this time around, it’s an FM22 4-3-2-1 Christmas tree tactic.
Control Possession Tactic
FM22 defined control possession “as a tactic that focuses on retaining possession and pressing high to win the ball back. It Looks to play out of defence and create chances through patient, short-passing build-up play”.
Christmas Tree formation
Christmas Tree formation is a formation that bears the shape of a Christmas tree, It is represented as 4-3-2-1 formation in FM22. Carlo Ancelotti’s AC Milan side conquered Europe back in 2006 with his christmas tree tactic. The notable current manager that uses a christmas tree tactic is Steve Gerrad at Aston Villa, who I will recreate his style in one of my next posts. So let’s dive into the details of my christmas tree control possession tactic with Real Betis, shall we?
